The Academy for Media, Communications, and Digital Video Production

The Academy for Media, Communications, and Digital Video Production Portsmouth High School is a Rhode Island Department of Education certified Career and Technical Education program (CTE). The Academy is a unique program that delivers specialized communication and video skills throughout a multi-year sequence of course offerings. In order to satisfy the CTE requirements of the Academy for Media Communications and Digital Video Production, students are required to enroll in 3 consecutive courses. Two of the required courses are Digital Video Production I and Digital Video III. To satisfy the second level in the sequence of courses, a student may choose to enroll in either Digital Video Production II or the course Video Journalism/Broadcasting.

The Academy is proud to offer students an opportunity to work with industry standard film equipment. Upon the successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to earn five college credits from New England Institute of Technology.
