Graduate Attire
Students are required to wear proper attire to graduation.
There may be no adornments on graduation caps or robes except school-issued stoles and honor society cords.

We encourage graduates to wear whatever footwear you find agreeable, including sandals, booties, flat bottom shoes and wedges. Because the event is being held on the turf, we respectfully ask that graduates refrain from wearing stiletto heels. The PHS Administration reserves the right to limit participation in the ceremony if students refuse to comply with appearance standards.
Guest Attire
While the most common attire amongst guests at Portsmouth High School's graduation ceremony has historically been semi-formal or summer business casual attire, guests are encouraged to dress in a manner that they feel most comfortable in celebrating their graduate(s).

PSD Faculty & Staff Attire
Similar to guests, faculty and staff tend wear semi-formal or summer business casual attire to graduation. Portsmouth High School does not require faculty and staff to wear caps and gowns to the graduation ceremony.
