HeartWarmers is a club that was founded in 2018 by a student who wanted to help the community but needed support to do what they wanted to accomplish.
The purpose of HeartWarmers is it to:
serve the community by teaching students how to create knot blankets for those who are in need of service.
encourage volunteering to help people in need
teach a skill and help promote fellowship and a better understanding of each other and areas of our community that need service.
Knot Blankets
Students are taught to make knot blankets during our meetings. Once they learn, they sit with a group, much like a quilting bee, and cut and tie. Each lunch period the student start and finish one blanket.
Normally, there are 5 blankets made every Wednesday and we have so many students, we rotate every other Wednesdays to accommodate all the students.
