Co-creation with learners during a course has potential to improve feelings of equity, meaningful learning, and achievement of course outcomes. Educators may find it challenging to engage all learners in a course in co-creation in equitable ways. In this poster we share seven guiding principles and strategies for educators to consider when enacting co-creation during a course. We advocate for (1) prioritising equity, (2) ongoing reflection on values, (3) negotiation of power sharing, (4) active and honest dialogue, (5) integration of choice and flexibility, (6) respectful trusting-caring relationships, and (7) promoting a psychologically safer environment. These principles are based on literature and our reflections as participants in co-creation as learners and educators. We invite further refinement of these principles based on participant experiences in their course contexts.
