Each year we are presented with exciting opportunities to deliver engaging authentic assessments which can better prepare our students for their future careers. Assessments can give students a supportive environment to apply their skills and knowledge with formative and peer feedback available from academics and fellow students.
At the University of Portsmouth we have a number of assessment tools available to us (perhaps too many) to support innovative online assessments, but each tool comes with a different interface for staff to master and a set of complicated settings to adapt to suit different scenarios.
This interactive session will give staff the opportunity to find out more about a significant online assessment project which DCQE along with academics from each faculty have been preparing for delivery in the 2022/23 academic year. We’ll tell you about how the end-to-end assessment platform Wiseflow can help reduce the masses of manual work around online assessment whilst supporting innovative assessment more sustainably. We’d love to hear what challenges you currently face with online assessment and how we can better support you moving forward.
This session will feature a sneak preview of Moodle 4.0 which we'll be upgrading to this Summer. Find out where you can go to get updates about this exciting upgrade!
