What Our Learning Support Classroom Looks Like
The Learning Support Classroom at Pope John Paul II provides a flexible, supportive environment tailored to meet the needs of students with learning differences. Instruction may take place in an individual setting or in small groups with peers who share similar learning needs. Lessons are aligned with classroom content while incorporating innovative tools and strategies to reinforce and practice essential skills.
Students may utilize the Learning Support Classroom for:
Small group instruction for curriculum support
Testing accommodations such as extended time, small group testing or a quiet place to test
Push-In Support: Push-in support reflects a team-centered approach, ensuring all students have access to the resources and strategies they need to succeed while maintaining the integrity of the inclusive classroom experience.
Enhances learning opportunities in a natural, collaborative setting.
Reduces the need for students to miss instructional time by leaving the classroom.
Encourages the development of social and academic skills through interaction with peers.
