Welcome to 1st Grade
Please continue to practice your letters and numbers, handwriting, math facts, and do lots of reading together!
Homework packets are sent home on Monday and due back on Friday each week. Even if your child finishes their packet before Friday, I will leave it in their folder and collect all homework packets together on Friday.
Remember two snacks (not candy), your lunch, and water bottle everyday. If your child is attending afternoon CARES, please be sure to send them an additional snack.
The weather is beginning to get colder. Please be sure that your child has the proper outerwear for recess. The wind really whips around outback on the playground and field.
If your child will be going home a different way than what you had originally indicated, please be sure to send the change to me in writing. We need to make sure everyone gets home safely.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please scan this QR code to complete the PJPII absentee form. As a school, we are asking all families to use this form to report daily attendance by 8:00 am each day. Your submission of the form in a timely manner helps us to ensure the safety of our students.
Except for illness absences longer than three days, which still require a doctor's note for return, the submission of the form serves as an excuse note.
