Dear Parents,
As we wrap up the first two weeks of school, I just want to say how impressed I am by your children and how excited I am for this school year. They kicked off fifth grade with positivity, open-mindedness, maturity and grace! They should feel very proud of themselves. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other, working through routines/procedures, and dipping our toes in some content. I also spent time gaining a better understanding of where each child is academically, socially, and emotionally. This week, we will dive deeper into our curriculum. Please keep an eye out for important updates on our class webpage, including homework assignments.
Thank you for your efforts in helping to make the start of the school year a successful one. I am a firm believer in the importance of the relationship between parent and teacher. I am always only an email or phone call away.
