BSPA houses 4 organizations under 1 roof:
- American Pharmacists Association (APhA-ASP)
- American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP-SSHP)
- Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA-TSSP)
- International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF)
Membership requirements:
- Fees paid on the local, state, and national level
- Must attend 3 general body meetings each semester
- Must attend at least 1 patient care event
- Must attend either 1 community engagement OR fundraising event each semester
- Dues are collected annually in September for professional years 1-3
- Dues are collected in April for professional year 4.
- Dues are structured in accordance with parent organization fees and a modest local chapter fee to maintain programming. The annual fee for 2018-2019 is $140 and gives membership to all four organizations.
