I am so excited to be a Ponder Lion!

Although I am new to Ponder, I bring twenty years of teaching experience. Over the years, I have taught a diverse range of subjects, including Algebra 1, math for 7th and 8th graders, science for 7th and 8th grades, and physical education for K-6. Most of my teaching career has been at the junior high level, so I feel particularly comfortable with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This year, I am especially looking forward to working with gifted and talented (GT) high school students. I plan to establish a club at the high school to reunite the GT students.

I have a wonderful husband and two children who will also be joining the Ponder Lions. My son Cooper is currently a junior at Ponder High School, while my son Gavin is in 7th grade at Ponder Junior High. As a proud boy mom, I enjoy watching and participating in sports. Additionally, I love spending time outdoors, whether it's gardening, running, or caring for my animals. Our family has a variety of pets, including cows, llamas, a cat, and our fantastic dog, Lucy!

I am eager to share my enthusiasm for learning and personal growth this year, and I look forward to learning alongside all of my GT students.
