This week we celebrate All Saints Day
Use this week to remember those who have gone before us and to learn from these amazing people who have set an example for us to follow.
During November we pray for
everyone who has died, especially from our family and friends, and for those who have no one to pray for them.
We say this prayer:
Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace, Amen
Cut out a shape using paper or cardboard- either a cross or a heart.
Decorate this, and write the names of people your family will remember to pray for this month.
Display your cross or hearth shape in our classroom. Light a candle and say the above prayer for them.

Think about:
What happened in his life that was not fair?
What caused this?
How do you think he felt about it? Why did the people of Lima in Peru grow to love him so much?
Why is he the patron saint of sick people?
Why is he the patron saint of barbers?
Why is he the patron saint of social justice?
Create a DLO to share this.

What to Pack?
Imagine you are going on a hike into the bush.
What to pack for the conditions?
What are essential and non-essential items?
What does being prepared mean?
How much can I carry?
Decide what your top fifteen essential items would be and create a poster, using pictures, to show them.
Do a test to see how many milk bottles filled with water you could carry easily across the field and back.
Complete the poster and share it via seesaw and your blog.
How many kilos could you carry comfortably?
