This website is to be used for job postings, internships, apprenticeships and volunteer opportunities for Polo, IL students and community members. Postings on this site should be aimed toward current high school students including internships, volunteer opportunities and summer work. It is also for graduates of PCHS, so please submit any job openings, apprenticeships or community programs available to the people in our community.
Work Permit: PCHS Work Permit Procedures
Once the student gets a job they need to submit:
PCHS Work Permit Form (Note: A new permit form is needed for each place of employment)
a letter of intent from their employer
a copy (not the original) of their birth certificate
original social security card
Turn in all paperwork to Julie Sanders at PCHS.

What hours can a minor legally work?
A 14 or 15 year old minor may NOT work:
before 7 a.m.
after 7 p.m. between Labor Day and June 1.
after 9 p.m. June 1 through Labor Day.
more than 8 hours on non-school days.
more than 3 hours on school days.
more than 24 hours during school weeks.
more than 48 hours during non-school weeks.
more than six days per week.
