Teaching Philosophy:
I believe all students can become proficient in the English language with appropriate guidance and dedication from a certified English as a second language professional educator. I also believe in motivating students to excel through the use of the innovative literacy program Fast Forward. Through using this research based program, I am able to boost the literacy of English learners quickly to help them in their journey to English proficiency. Learning a second language is a process that takes time. Fast Forward provides individualized student data to show language progress in the four domains of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I also believe in using individualized instruction to help my English language learners become English proficient more quickly as evident by their overall composite scores on the annual ACCESS 2.0 standardized test.
