INTRODUCTION
The International Agrofood and Biotechnology Festival @ Special Education Needs 2026 (iFAMB@SEN2026) is an annual initiative organised by the Curriculum Division (BK), Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK), in collaboration with polytechnics under the Technology Unit. The 12th edition will be hosted by Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic (POLISAS), Kuantan, Pahang.
The festival features research paper presentations, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and community engagement programmes involving five polytechnics and thirteen community colleges. It aims to strengthen academic collaboration while supporting the Polytechnic Transformation Roadmap 2023–2030 through the promotion of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The programme also provides inclusive platforms for students with disabilities to showcase their talents, contributes to the sustainability of agrofood and biotechnology sectors, and enhances public awareness of national food security.
OBJECTIVES
To support JPPKK KPIs under the Polytechnic Transformation Roadmap by fostering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while providing inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities (OKU) to develop and showcase their talents at national and international levels.
To strengthen academic programmes and niche-area research in participating polytechnics to ensure continued relevance to industry needs.
To provide a platform for Polytechnic and Community College communities to share research outcomes, develop new skills, particularly in agrofood and encourage scholarly publication.
