POBCSD Library Mission Statement

The mission of the POB School Library program is to create a student-centered library media center

where we equip students with the skills and resources necessary to succeed in the 21st century. We

provide a space where students can innovate, successfully seek information and ideas for their

educational and recreational needs, and collaborate and communicate with others through a variety

of resources. The library’s mission is also to encourage an appreciation of literature and to endeavor

for every student to become lifelong readers and learners.
