When the Spooky season starts, people come out to trick-or-treat! Kids all over the world come to a door and ring the bell.
Then they scream, “Trick-or-Treat!”
And repeat until buckets full of candy. That is my idea of the ULTIMATE Halloween experience. But always remember to not eat too candy. Be healthy! And have fun!
One of my favorite parts of Halloween is the costumes. You could dress up as Scream, Voldemort, or Bart Simpson.
But in choosing your costume, you must do what you like, but also be safe. You should pick a costume that allows you to look both ways before crossing the street. Blow up costumes are safe, but it does not allow you to run fast. It also may make you trip. Be safe!
That is how to have the most ultimate, and safe Halloween! If you look down, you will see our favorite candy! Happy Halloween!
WHO STOLE THE HALLOWEEN CANDY?

As the day turns to night, a spooky figure appears in sight.
As the kids start to fear, all the candy disappears.
The Skeletons start to lose their bones, and the kid's stomachs start to groan.
So who took all their sweets? Was it the spooky figure?
The kids stared at him as his cackles grew bigger.
Someone must stop this Halloween mystery.
Because this day will go down in history!
But wait! Someone has come to save the day!
She attacked the spooky figure, and heard shouts of, “Hooray!”
As the candy started to appear, all the kids started to cheer!
History Of Halloween

Did you know that Halloween was named after All Hallows Eve? This was a holiday to put up petrifying decorations and costumes to scare away evil spirits and dead souls. Halloween is also a single day before All Saints Day. It was originated from the Celtic holiday Samhain. It was a day to light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Pope Gregory III used November 1st to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day took some of the traditions of Samhain. Over time, Halloween turned into a day of fun activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, wearing costumes, and eating candy and sweets.

BOO! Did you know that Halloween was not always about candy all the time? It wasn’t about costumes either. Halloween was originally called All-Hallows Eve.
Costumes
Do you know why we used to dress up on Halloween? People used to dress up for Halloween for multiple reasons. One reason is because they believed that dressing up will protect themselves from the souls of the dead. They believed this will disguise them from the souls and save them.
Candy
Why did people give out candy on Halloween? People invented the method of giving out candy in the 1940’s. They did this to make a fun activity for young kids. This was also so kids would stay out of trouble and to be an alternative for playing tricks.
Trick Or Treat
Why do we say Trick or Treat? The history of saying trick or treat on the night of Halloween is very similar to the history of giving out candy on this night. “Trick” means we will play a trick and treat means give us a treat. So “Trick or Treat means give us a treat or we will do a trick.
Other Ways To Celebrate
Halloween can be celebrated in many different ways. For example some people like to carve a pumpkin or squash with spooky patterns and faces. Then they put them outside and light them up so they look spooky! Other people like to buy terrifying decorations and decorate their house all out! Also other people might visit these houses and take a look at all the decorations.
Many Things To Do
Halloween is on October 31 every year. Halloween can be really fun. From candy and costumes to carving pumpkins and putting up decorations, Halloween has endless possibilities of celebrating!

Short Story Series
I raced down the alley. So much candy! I thought. There were buckets and people, oh, just SO MUCH!! “This is amazing! Our daily walk turned into the BEST WALK IN THE WORLD!!!” Milan screamed. “Oh, Milan. Stop barking! I hope these scary decorations don’t scare you.” Amelia said. “Would you want to go home?” Amelia was our dog sitter. She never understood what we were doing! So we didn’t like her. Milan shut up but pulled on his leash so hard Amelia toppled over trying to keep hold of her. Yay! Milan and I were free! We dashed house to house, barking as if we were the doorbell. We stuffed our faces into the baskets, taking mouthfuls of drooling, delicious candy. “MILAN!! MYRANA!!! GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!!!” Amelia screamed. But we barely heard her. People laughed as they watched us eagerly race from door to door, grabbing the candy and trying to balance the bowl of candy stuck to our backs. At one point we were so tired, we needed to eat candy to fuel us up for more. But Milan and I were smart, so we used our teeth and claws to make sure we didn’t gobble down the weird- tasting plastic, just the amazingly delicious candy. Crunch! Crack! Chew! Nom! Gobble! When we were stuffing our faces, Amelia caught up and grabbed both of our leashes. “Ha! Caught you now! Oh, you little bandits will get into so much trouble! I can’t wait to report this horrible behavior to your parents!” Parents. The worst possible word to ever be used. Milan and I obediently sat down instinctively. “Oh, you two are so cute! I would never report this to your parents. Only the fact that you were trick or treating!” She laughed, and Milan and I were just waiting for her to leave so we could have more candy.
