I would recommend this book because it was beautifully written and had a great plot. This book tells the story of a young girl named Sarah who is living in Nazi occupied France. The war has always seemed far away, until one day French policemen show up at her apartment to arrest  Sarah and her family. Sarah’s story becomes buried in history and it isn’t until nearly 60 years later that Julia, an American journalist living in paris uncovers Sarah’s story. Julia finds her story intertwined with Sarah’s. Even though everyone keeps telling Julia to leave the past alone, Julia makes it her mission to find Sarah.
