The book Carval is a fantasy novel about two girls called Scarlet and Tella. In the beginning of the novel Scarlet and Tella lived with their corrupt father. Now Scarlett's father has arranged a marriage for her. Ever since Scarlett was a kid she has dreamed of going to Caravel, the legendary, once- a-year performance where the audience participates in the show. Tella and Julian drag Scarlett to the show to escape the father. Scarlett didn't want to leave and stay her father and her engagement to the Duke. There she can't find Tella. I would recommend this book because it was very well written and an incredible book that combined greek mythology with a story about coming of age and finding your identity. This book told the story of Circe; the infamous goddess of witchcraft. This book traces her story all the way back to her troubled childhood. When Circe is exiled to the island of Aiaia she discovers the true extent of her powers.
