KPOT
Ethan’s Review: This is a very unique experience. Imagine a buffet mixed with make your own soup and you cook food in front of you. KPOT has this little buffet area where you can get dessert, appetizers, and you can make your own sauce. You pick a soup base and then insert the toppings you picked. There is a wide variety of items to put in. You can put dumplings or rice or meats in the soup. You get a tablet to order everything on. You can get meats or vegetables to grill on the stove in front of you.
The food is a 4.7/5. The service is pretty fast and the staff are very friendly. The service is a 4.5/5. The ambience is very futuristic. It has a party vibe to it. The ambience is a 4.7/5.
Overall it is a 4.6/5.
BELMONT PARK VILLAGE
Ethan’s Review: Belmont Park Village is a very cool and fancy shopping village. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL TANGER OUTLETS. The items there are VERY expensive. Personally, I wouldn’t go back until the summer because their are a lot of stores opening in the spring or summer. However the parking is free. When I went they had a lot of activities for the Chinese Lunar New Year. They had a raffle thing where you could win lots of things. I won a bao bun which was really good.
The food was a 4.7/5. I can’t rate the service but the ambiance was really pretty. The ambiance is a 5/5.
Overall it is a 4.8/5.
Shrimpy's
Shrimpy’s in East Islip is an all around okay burrito place. You get a burrito there by ordering it and it gets taken to your table by waiters. A very normal restaurant. “Better than Taco Bell,” an anonymous tipper says. The atmosphere is a 4.23/5. The place looks very tropical and nice but it doesn't know what it wants to be. On one hand it is tropical and Hawaiian. On the other hand, it looks like a Long Island themed restaurant. Both types of decorations are hung. The service is a 3.5 out of 5. It is literally just standard service. It is pretty quick. The food is a 4 out of 5. It is pretty decent non-authentic Mexican food. The portions of the burritos are big, so bring a to-go box. Overall, Shrimpy’s is a 4 out of 5. It is a good place to bring your family to eat.
