VERSA Herald Square
Our first restaurant is VERSA. VERSA is a very chill lounge. It is a fancier restaurant with a very nice ambience. The 6th floor is outdoors and has a great view of the Empire State Building. It is also across the street from Penn Station and Macy’s Herald Square. The ambience is a 5/5. The service is very fast and they are kind. The service is a 4.7/5. The food is very good and unique. As a appetizer you can get a jumbo pretzel. They also have hummus, pita, and vegetables which I highly recommend. They have separate menus for brunch and lunch/dinner. The food is a 4.7/5. Overall VERSA is a 4.8/5.
Balthazar
Balthazar is fancy italian restaurant. When you walk in you might see that it is very crowded. This is no surprise. They accept reservations, but it is normally hard to find seating. The food comes really quickly and the people are really nice. When I went the waiter gave me and my mom sparkling lemonades. I would rate the service a 7.7 out of 10. Some of the foods include warm french onion soup, creamy ham mac and cheese, cheesy chestnut ravioli, and more! I would rate the food a 8.5 out of 10. Overall Balthazar is a very good restaurant to go to, and I rate it a 8.1 out of 10.
Del Vino
Del Vino is a vineyard. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you sit outside you sit right next to the vineyard. The ambience is a 5/5. The servers are very kind but during my experience their payment system was down. I was at the restaurant for about two hours and most of that time I was waiting for food and the check. Based on this the service is a 2.5/5. The food is good and they have many options. The food is a 4.7/5. The overall experience is a 4.
THIS IS BASED ON ONE EXPERIENCE
Sabor Vega
Are you on Long Island and want some fresh empanadas? If so, Sabor Vega has freshly made empanadas with their own signature sauce. Sabor Vega is a family owned and operated empanada stand. They travel to different vendor fairs. You can also order their empanadas online and pick it up in East Northport or they will drive it to you. I can’t rate the service how I normally do but they they are very fast and kind to you. They have the empanadas that they made in a cooler and then fry it when you order. This process takes about five minutes. The service is a 5/5. I can’t rate the ambience since it changes based on the location. However, the food is delicious. It is priced at around $5 for empanadas and around $10 for spices and sauces. That’s a good deal compared to all of it being homemade. I would like to go back and try more of their many options. The food is a 4.8/5. I spoke to the owner and he said, “I want to make a dessert empanada. However, I’m not going to release it unless it pleases me.” Overall the rating is a 4.9/5.
