This entire week, I really enjoyed teaching. I already got the rapport with my students, and we are very comfortable in class already. Students are highly participative, and we really enjoy each and every session. Here I learned that aside from learning, the human aspect is still vital- the connection, the rapport, and the understanding.

This entire week, I really felt exhausted. Got problems at home, personal problems, and the load of works in school. But I got to keep on moving forward, everything is just a phase. I picked myself up, and show up to my students, smiled at them, and delivered the best way I can.

This has been a busy and a long week for me. My final teaching demonstration was set on the 17th. Every day I'm spending time, studying the lesson for my final demo, looking for interesting strategies that can be utilized, and writing my final lesson plan. I think that this should be the culmination of all the approaches, content knowledge, and pedagogy that I had learned in campus. I also said that this should be the best.
Honestly, I really aimed to notch a high score for my demo, and so, every day I am looking at the rubrics to see if I am hitting the target.

I'm thankful to my supervisor, Prof. Wilmer Marquez, and my CT, Ms. Ana Basilio Cannaoay for the guidance, advices, and constructive criticisms they shared with me before my grand teaching demonstration. It helped me a lot especially during my lesson planning and construction of teaching materials.
Cheers to my successful grand demo! <3
OVERALL REFLECTION
My practice teaching experiences have taught me a lot of things about being a "teacher". I've seen how difficult to be one but still, I want to continue pursuing this career. I want to feel that satisfaction over and over again when you know your students are learning something from you. Also, it feels good to be loved and appreciated by the students, like what I felt right after my grand demonstration while reading students overwhelming direct messages. Indeed, teaching is not a job, it is a passion that can make you happy while feeling tired.
Anyway, It has been such a ride, and there are definitely more learnings and realizations about my chosen field that I am sure will be taken into my near professional future.
Padayon to us, teachers! 😊
