Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education
The Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education is a specialized course offered by the PNU College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research. Graduates of the program understand the stages of child development as well as their characteristics and demonstrate skills in creating learning environments and developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction to encourage individual as well as group learning, skill development, reflection, critical thinking, and inquiry.
Master of Arts in Elementary Education
The Master of Arts in Elementary Education is a specialized course offered by the PNU College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research to basic education teachers particularly those teaching at the elementary level and to educators mentoring would-be elementary teachers. The program aims to produce graduates with deep understanding of the formation and characteristics of learners in the elementary grades and how they are nurtured by quality and caring teachers and adults, by stimulating learning environments, and by developmentally appropriate curriculum, instruction, and assessment to make them grow holistically and equipped with 21st century skills that meet national and global standards.
Master of Arts in Special Needs and Inclusive Education
The proposed MASNIEd is a future-ready, innovative, and enriched program designed to prepare teachers and supervisors in the education of students with disabilities, giftedness and talents. The program emphasizes basic concepts, theoretical underpinnings, strategies, approaches, best practices, and current trends in special and inclusive education and explores contemporary research issues and a variety of teaching methodologies in the discipline, especially in consideration of the upward trend in the special population of diverse learners.
Master of Arts in Educational Technology
The proposed revision of the Master of Arts in Educational Technology aims for a more innovative, inclusive, impactful and sustainable graduate education program that develops highly proficient and future-ready expert practitioners, research scholars and education leaders in the field/s of educational technology. It prepares the students to design and develop instructional materials, courseware, learning resources, assessment tools and e-learning environment. Students’ instructional skills will be improved by applying pedagogical perspective in the integration of technology purposely in teaching-learning.
Master in Library and Information Science
The proposed revision of the Master in Library and Information Science aims for a more innovative, inclusive, impactful and sustainable graduate LIS program designed for librarians and information professionals in all types of information centers. The program focuses on research, library management, and innovations in information technology to develop library and information science practitioners as library educator and professional information scientist. It provides opportunities to enhance competencies on the following: information and information centers management, document analysis, library organization, and communication and information literacy.
