Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago is an economist and educator with a strong background in leadership and policy research. She is the current Centre Director and Chief Executive of INNOTECH (Regional Centre for Educational Innovation and Technology), a regional center of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO)."
She has held significant leadership roles, including President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and President of the Philippine Economic Society. As a professor at Ateneo de Manila University, she has taught economics for nearly two decades at various institutions, including the University of Hawai‘i and the University of the Philippines.
Her extensive experience includes advising government agencies on key areas like energy economics, competition policy, and natural disasters. She has led major projects for organizations such as USAID, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.
An accomplished academic, she has published widely and co-edited four books. Her research focuses on energy economics, competition policy, and the economics of natural disasters and education. She was recognized as an Outstanding Young Scientist in Economics by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2016.
Ravago holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Hawai‘i and recently completed an Executive Leadership Programme on AI and Productivity at INSEAD.
