About : The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2003 with three year B. Sc. General Course affiliated under the University of Calcutta.  The affiliation was changed to West Bengal State University , North 24 Parganas, West Bengal by an Act  of the Legislative  Assembly on 2007.

Presently the department acts a pivotal role in the Science stream under NEP: 2020 curriculum as well as CBCS curriculum. It offers Skill Enhanced Courses in 'Programming in C'  and 'Logic and Set' for the students of other streams along with the Mathematical Sciences.
