About : The Department of Philosophy was established in the year 1962 with B. A General Course affiliated under the University of Calcutta.
The affiliation was changed to West Bengal State University , North 24 Parganas, W.B. by an Act of the Lagislative Assymbly on 2007.
From 2018 the department offers CBCS curriculum under WBSU .
Presently, the department offers NEP curriculum under WBSU.
