All students and graduates have had the opportunity to order official grad attire for the 2025 Commencement, which has been sent to their homes.  

Remember: Grad attire is required in order to walk in the ceremony.

• You are encouraged to order your attire even if you choose not to walk at the in-person ceremony. 

• There is no extra charge - after all, you earned it!

•  A gold honors cord is awarded to graduates who have achieved a 3.75 GPA or higher.

  • IMPORTANT! Please be aware that all graduates who participate in the ceremony and have completed their program in 2025 and have earned honors distinction will be recognized in the program. Honors distinction will also be announced as they walk across the stage. Important: If you are a student choosing to participate in commencement prior to completing your program of study, please note that because your classes are still in session, honors determinations will be evaluated upon program completion. 

• A red, white, and blue Americana cord is awarded to U.S. veterans in recognition of service to the United States.

• The multicolored hood distinguishes the master's degree.

• A gold stole distinguishes the bachelor's degree.

• A white stole distinguishes the associate's degree.

• Graduates are required to wear the appropriate attire during the ceremony.

• Appropriate attire underneath graduate attire is business casual or Sunday best.

Please note: Jeans, t-shirts, flip flops, etc. are not appropriate attire for commencement.
