How do I register to attend the commencement?
You will receive an invitation via email to register to attend the PMI Commencement 2024, from our event planner, Marching Order. The registration portal is where you will also be able to claim up to three guest tickets. Please note: If you plan on walking during the event, you must register.
The portal opens on Monday, July 15
The portal closes on Friday, August 16
Can I participate in the commencement ceremony if I haven't completed all my requirements?
Yes, if you are on track to graduate by the end of 2024, you may still participate in the commencement ceremony. Please email us if you would like confirmation.

Will I be individually recognized at my commencement ceremony?
Yes, we will individually recognize all graduates in attendance.
How does ticketing work?
Ticketing details will be available to all 2024 graduates & students who are on track to complete their programs by December 2024. Watch your PMI email for this information.
Is there a rehearsal?
No, there are no formal rehearsals planned. You will receive instructions when you check in on the day of the commencement.

Where do I park? Do I have to pay for parking?

Daily parking fees of $12.00 will apply at all parking lots located at the Tucson Convention Center.

Will the event be available via livestream?
Yes-Absolutely!

Ensure all guests have their reserved ticket for entry
There is no storage for personal items at the facility
Leave personal items with family, friends, or at the hotel

Do I have to pay for my graduate attire?
There is no extra charge for ordering your grad attire. Congratulations, you earned it!
When will my attire arrive?
January - June graduates have received their attire.
Please note: If you completed your program during this time and did not order your attire, but would still like to attend the commencement ceremony, please submit an order here. This form closed on July 30, 2024.
July - December graduates will be able to order their attire in July and it should arrive in mid-to-late August.
How and when will I receive my diploma?
Diplomas will be sent to the graduate's portal address 4-6 weeks post-graduation. Please note: Diplomas will not be distributed at commencement.
How do I know if I earned an honors cord?
When you create your order you can check your portal for the status of honors, which is awarded for a 3.75+ GPA.
Where can I get announcements, diploma frames, etc?
PMI does not provide for announcements or diploma frames, however, you are free to create or order on your own.

What is the difference between graduation and commencement?
Great question!
Your PMI graduation date is the very last day of your program. This is your official graduation date and it will appear on your diploma and on your transcripts.
The Commencement is the ceremony that celebrates the occasion of your program graduation.
We are all looking forward to celebrating with you in Tucson!
