Hello! My name is Mitch Demers, and I am excited to join the district as your Dean of Students and K–12 School Counselor. I bring more than 13 years of experience in education, as well as clinical and school social work. My work is grounded in understanding student needs, building meaningful connections with families, supporting strong adult practices, and creating systems that promote belonging, engagement, and long-term success.

I grew up near Cameron, Wisconsin, where I developed a deep appreciation for rural education and the close-knit communities it fosters. 

When I'm not at school, you'll likely find me enjoying the outdoors, camping with my wife and our three children, gardening, making maple syrup, or traveling to new places.

Relationships are at the heart of my work, and I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside our students, families, staff, and community to ensure each and every student knows they belong and has the support they need to thrive. I look forward to earning your trust, building lasting relationships, and supporting every student as they learn, grow, and thrive.
