2009 - 2025

Althaea is part rex, which makes her fur curly! I adopted her in 2020 when she was 10 from the local shelter. She loves people, but hates other cats. She likes to go on small outdoor adventures in her harness and leash, and be touching a human at all times. 

2006-2021

Boris was the father of four kittens that my parents found under the stairs of our house in Chicago. He was feral and afraid of people. In the summer of 2017, I sat outside every day with food for him until he felt comfortable enough to come and sit and eat with me. Eventually he let me pet him, and let others pet him. Then, he started venturing inside the house and lived out his old man years as a spoiled housecat lounging in his favorite chair.

My backstory for Boris is that he immigrated to Chicago from Russia because he got caught smuggling catnip in his troika and had to flee the country.

Birthday: May 2016

Boots is the sister of Marble and Runt, daughter of Boris. She is the only one of the siblings who can successfully hunt, though luckily she doesn't often anymore. She loves to lounge on the bed or in her hammock during the day, prowl at night, and sit on my parents' heads at 5am to let them know it's breakfast time.

Birthday: May 2016

Marble is the slinky brother of Boots and Runt. He likes pets and slithers around when he gets them. In the past few years, he has turned into a lap cat and enjoys sitting on my mom's lap and preventing her from reading.

2016 - 2021

Runt was the runt of the litter. He was the teeniest little kitten compared to Boots and Marble. He was always very wary of people, but in his final years started to allow pets. He purred like a little tropical bird. Unfortunately, at age 5 he passed from a medical condition.
