When things aren't working, wether it is is a problem signing in, connecting to Wifi, slow speeds, and more, the first thing I encourage a student or staff member to do is to restart the device. Here is how to restart PLSD devices:
iPad- Press and hold the power button (top button) while simultaneously holding the black home button. Continue to hold until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons.
Chromebooks- Press and hold the 'refresh' button (F4). While holding 'refresh', tap the power button on the side of the device. Wait 10 seconds and then tap the power button again, all while holding the 'refresh' button. When you see the CHROME logo, release all buttons.
MacBooks- Go to the Apple Menu (top left corner Apple logo) and select Restart. To force a restart if the device is frozen or non-responsive, hold Control and Command down while you press the power button.
Every site you visit stores information based on what you click, view, etc. This information is stored in the browser.
