It’s not big and awkward, and it’s not as common as all the other instruments, it makes you feel special because you are, the violas are a tight-knit family. And that C string 😔👌 -Brandon H
I chose the viola because I don’t really like the high pitch notes on the violin, but the cello and bass notes are too low for my liking. It has the perfect mix of tone and you still can play the high pitch E notes (Shifting on the A string) if you want, but you also get the cello notes (C string notes) that violins don’t get. It is a really fun instrument to play because you are always playing the harmony and it is by far the best sounding part in every piece. -Kayla Wagner
I chose the viola because we have the best of two worlds. You can play a high E and a C-Elizabeth
I chose the viola because it had such a beautiful, rich tone. It sounded so much fuller than the violin, and it really isn’t bigger than the violin. The real deciding factor for me though was the beautiful C string. I could literally feel it vibrating, and the sound was just so cool. -Bella
I chose the viola because it’s not a violin and it has a C string which sounds really good we get to play the harmony most of the time.-Jackson H
I chose to play the viola because it has a very good song to my ears.-Tyler C.
Because It felt nice to play.-Ahmed H.
I liked how it was big and I saw my cousin play it. I started in kindergarten- Gavin V.
I heard the cello in fifth grade and it was so beautiful like it was calling out to me, a song that had yet to be played. Also, I really like the lower strings. -Adrienne V.
I chose the cello because I liked the way it felt when you played it. It made you feel like you were on another planet! -Emily G.
I chose the cello because the sound was just absolute greatness and the feel of the bow and the weight of the cello against me was perfect-Samuel W.
I chose the cello because I saw others playing it and thought it sounded amazing. I also liked how it didn’t go as low as the bass, but not as high as the Violin or Viola; it was the perfect in-between instrument.
I chose the cello because I thought it was the best sounding instrument
I chose the cello because I am very petite and the cello is just a fun instrument and it makes me feel like I have all the power. Plus our melodies are cooler than the violins. - Daisha P.

I chose the cello because of its deep beautiful sounds and powerful but subtle undertones. I also chose the cello because I can feel the vibrations against me when I play. - Sarah H.
It is big and loud and It is fun to play. Please choose the bass for your instrument and next year I will play in 7th grade. It will be fun. Mr. K is the best and he is nice and very funny. By Jesse Vanbuskirk
I chose the bass because it’s a very large and deep sounding instrument, I've always like/noticed the deeper or bass parts in songs and as soon as i tested it out when i was picking my instrument i knew i wanted to play it.- Sophie C
