Welcome to our Join the Orchestra website. Hopefully you will find all the information you need to help you select which instrument you want to play in 6th grade orchestra and learn about our orchestra program here in Pickerington.
The instruments in the Pickerington Local Schools orchestras are the 4 bowed string instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass.

On Friday, March 20, 2026, 5th-grade students will participate in an assembly during the school day and hear high school orchestra and band students perform. Students will hear a demonstration of each instrument.
Instrument Fitting Days: 5th-grade students will have the opportunity to meet with the orchestra teachers and Loft Violin Shop staff to try out the different stringed instruments and find out which size instrument they need. Instrument try-outs/fittings will happen during the school day.

Join us for our optional Orchestra Family Information Meeting on April 16th, 2026 at 6:15pm. Attend in-person (PHSN Entrance I)/Join virtually via Google Meet
