Flex Summer Independent Study is a credit recovery option available to 10th-12th-grade students. Flex begins later in the summer and allows students to work more independently. This format requires students to manage their assigned online coursework and attendance independently.
Dates + Location: Thursday, June 27 - Friday, August 16. Online and in-person available.
*No school June 19th (Juneteenth), July 4th - July 5th
Times + Attendance: Students must register for a minimum of 13 hours per class with a teacher. Teacher availability will be posted weekly and will vary during the summer based on staff availability. It is the student's responsibility to meet with teachers based on teacher availability.

Monday - Thursday - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Friday - 8:00 am - 12 pm
Format + Requirements: Students will be assigned curriculum through Edmentum, our digital curriculum. Students must complete the assigned curriculum, pass the class and obtain a minimum of 13 hours per class with a teacher. Daily attendance is not required, but credit will not be awarded if attendance requirements are not met. Students have access to the online curriculum outside of their scheduled time with a teacher.

Credits: Each assigned Edmentum course is worth the equivalent of one quarter (0.75) credit. A maximum of three classes are available to be made up through Flex Summer Independent Study program.
There is no transportation provided for Independent Study, but there will be an online and in person option.
