May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, which was started in 1949 by Mental Health America to increase awareness of the importance of mental well-being and celebrate recovery from mental illnesses.
We know that self-care is essential for mental health and overall well-being in children, adolescents, and adults alike. When we take care of our mental health, our physical and emotional health improves, and we become more resilient. This can make it easier to find ways to manage life stressors in a healthy and positive way.
Here at Alisal, we promote mental health and well-being through Wellness Week, with a variety of activities held during lunch recess on the blacktop and lkunch bunch area. May 2025 was our 3rd Annual Wellness Week here at Alisal!
