The Amador-Alisal Mentor Program was started several years ago as a way to connect Amador students taking the child development class with Alisal students who would enjoy and benefit from the experience of having an older, supportive role model. Currently we have two classes of Amador Mentors in the child development class who will be coming to Alisal twice monthly to meet and build relationships with Alisal students. Our students are referred for this program by teachers and other staff members. Students who participate in this program benefit positively by growing in self-esteeem, building helpful social skills, and developing a greater sense of community. This program runs from September through May.
