CTE WEE
Career Technical Education Work Experience Education
Career Technical Education Work Experience Education
The CTE Work Experience Education course will allow a student to earn elective credits (up to 10 a semester) for their paid internship position/job while having a late start or early release (one less class) at Amador Valley/Foothill High. Students will be able to do their assignments through Google Classroom and meet with the teacher once a week (Wednesday's (AVHS) or Thursday's (FHS) ACCESS). Here is the application form for Pleasanton Virtual Academy (where the course is housed): PVA Application.
It's an easy application form, and here's the master agreement pages (please print all) that need both the parent's and the student's signatures (on the checklist/last page too).
The student will want to set up an appt. with their counselor at school to re-arrange their schedule for a late start/early release...they'll be dropping an elective course.
If the student wants to keep all of their classes at their school and just add WEE, that's okay too.
Students/parents can drop off the Master Agreement (signed) at the PVA office which is on the corner of First St. and Abbie: 4750 First Street.
