Karri Shanks

My name is Karri Shanks, and I am extremely honored to serve as the Director of Childcare for the Pleasant Hill School District.

On a personal note, my husband and I are the proud parents of two sons—our oldest serves in the Army National Guard, and our youngest is entering the 9th grade.

Professionally, I hold an Associate’s Degree in Teaching and bring 26 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of directing large, state-licensed preschool and daycare programs, managing classrooms, developing curriculum, running school-age tutoring programs, and managing a school library.

I am deeply passionate about education and ensuring our children and families have the support they need to thrive. I look forward to partnering with you and supporting your family this school year!

My name is Jaron Reyes, and I am a 2025 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Having worked with the childcare program for nearly four years, I am deeply committed to supporting our students' education and personal growth. I look forward to continuing to serve our students and families in this new role."

Samantha Ward

My name is Samantha Ward. I joined the Pleasant Hill School District in the spring of 2025. I am also a high school graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. I enjoy working with the children and watching them grow and succeed in what they are working towards. I am excited to be part of the childcare program and working with the students of our community.

I have been with the Childcare program for many dedicated years. During the school year you can find me in the school cafeteria cooking up delicious meals for our students. I love working in our school and watching the children grow each year!

My name is Lizzie Good. I graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 2024. I am furthering my education with the intent of being an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have been working with the daycare program since 2022 and have very much enjoyed watching the kids learn and grow.

I am a 2026 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. I started with the childcare program Summer of 2026. I am looking forward to assisting with the chiildren in this program, watching them grow and getting to know the families this upcoming school year.

I am a Senior at Pleasant Hill High School. I have been with the daycare for three years. I truly enjoy working with the children and other staff. I am grateful for the oppertunity to work in the daycare and look forward to this new upcoming school year.
