My name is Michele Long. I have been a resident of Pleasant Hill for 11 years.  My husband and I have 5 children combined, 2 of which are currently enrolled at the high school.  I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Park University.  A majority of my professional background has been in financial services and insurance, but I am currently pursuing my Masters in Education so that I may take on a classroom of my own soon.  I recently decided to get back into education, as my original plan was to be a teacher.  I even continued my final year of schooling, working in schools, but ended up working in a different career.  I have always enjoyed working with children and have a passion to help them grow their minds and build their creativity.  

My name is Karri Shanks.  I am married and together we have 2 sons.  I earned my associates in teaching from Longview Community College.  I have 24 years of Early Childhood Education experience that includes being a director, successful classroom teachings and management, school-age tutoring programs, and school library experience.  I have a passion for children's education and have dedicated my life to being a part of that in every way I can.  I am extremely excited to join the Pleasant Hill School district and can't wait to get know and work with the children and the families of this amazing community.

Hi! I am Sandy Alig! I have worked for the daycare before and have come back to the daycare and the Primary School cafeteria. I have four kids and nine grand kids along with two fur babies.

My name is Jill Young.  I started working in childcare in 1993.  I was a Center Director in Greenwood while working on my Associates Degree, which I obtained from MCC.  I have been a resident of Pleasant Hill since 1994.  I raised a wonderful daughter in this community and am now a proud grandparent of 4 beautiful grandkids.  I began working for the PH R3 school district at the start of the 2023/24 school year.  In addition to working at the childcare, I also provide staff support at the Intermediate School.  I love seeing all the smiling faces everyday.  I strive to make a positive impact on all the children I cross paths with.
