Monarch Bands Program
The PLHS Monarch Band Program is dedicated to providing a quality music education to all students by providing a diverse offering of large and small ensemble opportunities. Students will gain valuable life skills while working individually on their instrument and as a member of a team in one of our ensembles.
Papillion La Vista High School had a great turnout for the 2026 Elkhorn Band Olympics. EBO is a solo/small ensemble contest for current 9th and 10th graders in the Omaha area. Papillion took 24 entries and received 15 superior (I) ratings and 9 excellent ratings (II). We also had 7 students who medaled in the contest. Medaling is determined by the top players of each division -- which is separated by grade and instrument. The following students received medals:
Daniel Silva -- 4th Place (Bass Clarinets)
Alex Sandoval -- 5th Place (9th Trombones)
Lydia Gibbons -- 5th Place (10th Clarinets)
Elianna Calderon -- 1st Place (10th Clarinets)
Brooke Hosler -- 3rd Place (9th Bari Sax)
Olivia Lindsay -- 3rd Place (9th Baritone)
Hunter Moyers -- 2nd Place (Tuba)
Here is the 2025-26 band calendar. All events will be communicated to your student through announcements, google classroom, and email. If there are any conflicts or questions, please contact tim.keller@plcschools.org or matthew.morgan@plcschools.org
