Angus Nivison is inspired by the natural surroundings of his property in the northern tablelands of NSW. He was born and raised in Walcha and through his paintings he explores landscape, memory and the human condition. Angus won the Wynne Prize in 2002. His work is part of most major Australian museums and private collections; he’s been represented by leading contemporary galleries; Gallery A, Bloomfield, Coventry Gallery, BBA and Utopia Art Sydney: had 30 solo and 116 group shows; and is a multi-year finalist for both Wynne and Archibald prizes.
Gallerist – AK Bellinger Gallery, Inverell
Allison Bellinger grew up in the central west of NSW, then boarded at PLC Sydney before studying law at university. She worked in law firms in Australia and overseas, then relocated to live on a farm north of Inverell with her husband. In 2015 she established the AK Bellinger Gallery, and now has a stable of important exhibiting Australian artists and a revolving stockroom of visiting and emerging artists who provide an exciting and diverse exhibition program. She has an extensive national and international client network with a strong online selling platform and has created an exciting cultural hub for her regional community through her beautiful gallery space in town, which has become a destination for visitors to Northern NSW.
Manager of Exhibitions & Curatorial – New England Regional Art Museum, Armidale
Belinda Hungerford has been the Manager Exhibitions & Curatorial at the New England Regional Art Museum in Armidale since 2019. She has 15 years’ experience in exhibitions and collections in not-for-profit, private and state organisations. Previous roles include Archival Team Member on the Max Dupain Exhibition Negative Archive at the State Library of New South Wales, archives and project assistant to photomedia artist Anne Zahalka, and Assistant Curator Exhibitions & Archive Projects at the Australian Centre for Photography. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Art History & Curatorship), Honours from the Australian National University.
