Swapnaa Jayaraman, Playquity’s principal, have more than 15 years of experience in social development and organizational leadership. Swapnaa continues to play the sport recreationally while pursuing a career in academia in North America.
Swapnaa has been involved in fundamental work in developmental neuroscience and cognition for over 13 years and is a research scientist at Indiana University and New York University. She is the co-founder and president of Pudiyador, an education-based community empowerment NGO based in Chennai, India.
Swapnaa directs and shapes Playquity's gender equity programming and research.
Tushika is the Director of Operations at Playquity, with over 11 years of transformative experience in the development sector. Armed with a Master’s degree in Social Work, she has made her mark across a diverse range of fields, including child rights, animal advocacy, and skill development. A passionate feminist and ardent believer in the power of psychology, Tushika is deeply committed to advancing social justice and equality. Her mission is to cultivate a world where women are not only treated with dignity but are empowered to lead and thrive.
Jyoti has over six years of experience in the development sector, working passionately on projects that drive social change and community empowerment. A commerce graduate, Jyoti is also an avid Ultimate Frisbee player with eight years of experience, where she has developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. Currently, Jyoti plays an integral role in shaping and directing key initiatives within our organization, bringing her expertise in both development work and community engagement to the forefront of our programs.
Lakshmi is a development professional with over 6 years of experience working across education, child protection, and mental well-being in diverse settings, including schools, childcare institutions, and community learning spaces. Deeply committed to promoting social-emotional learning, Lakshmi strives to create compassionate environments where individuals feel empowered to express their vulnerabilities and seek support. Her dedication to improving mental health and well-being is reflected in her work to build safe, inclusive spaces for growth and healing.
