Playquity provides a comprehensive ultimate frisbee training program to girls (only) that enables them to not only develop athletic skills but also confidence, empathy, communication and leadership critical for their personal development. We have consistently conducted various interactive sessions with the mothers of our athletes to build trust and create an inclusive environment. At the end of this stage, Playquity helps girls identify coaches, managers, and player positions for future growth and development as athletes.
This dedicated team of girls will continue their journey under the guidance of their chosen coaches. Playquity will pivot from focusing solely on game skills to emphasizing life skills training, focusing on empowering these young women to become confident, assertive, and resilient. Our sports-based modules cover crucial areas such as decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication, equipping our athletes with the tools they need for the next stage of their development. To provide them with valuable tournament experience and boost their confidence, regular friendly competitions are organized against an established women's team from the region. For the first time, these girls will acquire unique skills and knowledge that set them apart from their male peers. In a groundbreaking role reversal, the girls will be prepared to lead boys with kindness and strength, paving the way for a more inclusive future. By integrating this innovative approach, we are not only fostering athletic prowess but also nurturing leadership qualities and life skills, ensuring that our girls are ready to take on any challenge.
Our girl athletes identify interested boys from their local underprivileged communities and introduce them to ultimate frisbee. Over several sessions, our girls coach the local boys similarly to how they were coached. Under the girls' leadership, the community will form a mixed-gender team, ready to play independently or with other regional teams. This unique experience of being coached by girls will introduce the boys in the community to female leadership in innovative and impactful ways. We are confident that this interaction will foster mutual respect and understanding, paving the way for everyone in the community to become gender-sensitive leaders and change-makers.
