During third quarter we are reading books with a main character from another country. Most of the selections are set in places that we are not as familiar with, so we are learning about other climates, cultures, governments, and environments. We are becoming acutely aware of the difficulties and challenges that many young people in other countries face on a daily basis. The experience is helping us to appreciate all the tremendous opportunities that we have in the United States.
