Proceedings
Deadline for the submission of manuscripts is 31 October 2023.
The proceedings of the 14th European Diatom Meeting will be published as a volume of Plant Ecology & Evolution (www.plecevo.eu), published by Meise Botanic Garden (I.F. 1.345) as an open access journal under Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). This diamond open access journal publishes papers about ecology, phylogenetics, and systematics of all plant groups (including algae, fungi, and myxomycetes), also covering fields such as comparative and developmental morphology, conservation biology, evolution, phytogeography, pollen and spores, population biology, and vegetation studies.
In the past, several successful and well-cited issues on diatom research were published in Plant Ecology & Evolution in 2010, 2014 and 2019. All papers can be freely accessed.
All presenters are invited to submit a manuscript (in English) for the proceedings. Contributions for the Proceedings will be collected and sent through the standard peer review process, and upon acceptance will be compiled in one of the issues of the coming year 2024.
Two types of papers can be published:
• Research articles reporting the results of original research. For taxonomic manuscripts, more comprehensive work is preferred, and isolated taxonomic novelties should be written in a way that they are attractive and interesting for a wider international audience.
• Reviews providing a survey of the current state of a specific topic and summarising previously published studies, rather than reporting new facts or analyses.
In total 10 papers will be accepted for publication
Instructions for authors are available on https://plecevo.eu/about#Author-Guidelines.
