World Readiness Standards Overview

Collaborative:  WL Communities standard- encourages student collaboration within and beyond the classroom walls.

Communicative:  WL Communication standard- fosters development of student interpersonal, interpretive and presentational communication skills.

Innovative: WL  Connections standard- fosters development of critical thinking, and problem solving skills as students build cross-curricular connections that require the access, and evaluation of information as well as the creation of new solutions and or products within the target language.

Mindful:   WL Culture , Comparisons & Connections standards- foster a greater awareness of and appreciation for self and others as well as the diverse world in which we live .

Resilient:  WL Communities Standard: encourages lifelong learning and development of resiliency skills as students have the opportunity to set goals and reflect on their progress and challenges using the target language for enjoyment, enrichment and advancement.
