Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Thank you for supporting our Plainville Community Schools Professional Learning Communities early release time. 

This valuable PLC time is dedicated to a systematic process in which teachers engage in powerful collaboration  to analyze and improve their classroom practice. Teachers work in teams, engaging in an ongoing cycle of questions and work that promote deep team learning.

The focus of this team learning is to ensure that  students who need additional support in learning receive adequate and effective instruction, interventions and or extensions; while students who demonstrate proficiency are provided with opportunities to extend their learning. 

The PLC process of collaborative learning  in turn leads to higher levels of student achievement, ultimately aiding us in achieving our district's vision to inspire and prepare lifelong learners to follow their passion, engage in their communities, and positively impact our global society.
