Plainfield High School
School Counseling Department
It is the goal of the Plainfield High School Counseling Department to assist students in developing realistic self-concepts as well as offering them an opportunity to better understand themselves and others in relation to the world they live in. In collaboration with families, school staff, and the community, we strive to inspire the ever growing individual to develop a strong sense of self and academic preparedness in order to become a productive citizen.
Within our comprehensive school counseling program, counselors are available to help students with questions and problems that arise throughout their time at Plainfield High School. The School Counseling Department follows the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) model to support students' needs related to academics, social/emotional challenges, and college/career planning through individual counseling, group counseling, presentations, and classroom lessons.
