Biography

Mrs. Kovaluk is the orchestra teacher at Pierremont Elementary and Sorrento Springs Elementary. She has been playing the violin for 21 years and started teaching as a private instructor 10 years ago. She has been teaching in the Parkway School District since 2012. Mrs. Kovaluk attended Truman State University, where she received her B.A. in Instrumental Music, M.A. in Violin Performance and M.A. in Music Education. She has Suzuki Violin training in Units 1-3.

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Kovaluk is a St. Louis native who enjoys spending time with family, her husband David and her two cats, Leeloo and Moxxi. She can often be seen running around town or performing in local ensembles and orchestras in her leisure time.
