Safety of pupils, parents and staff is paramount. Please see below a list of measures in place to minimise risk and how YOU can help:

The school will adopt a zero tolerance policy to children arriving at school with COVID-19 related symptoms. Parents / carers should therefore not send their child(ren) to school should they develop any COVID-19 symptoms. Click here for a reminder of these. Your child(ren) will be sent home immediately should they become symptomatic. It is important that the school office have your most up to date contact details in case of an outbreak.
The car park will be closed to parents /carers including drop off. This is to reduce congestion and help to encourage a one way system in and out of the school grounds. Scottish Government guidance also states "for those arriving by car, parents/carers may be encouraged to park further away from the school and then walk with their children to avoid congestion, or alternatively use active travel routes where feasible. Car-sharing with children and young people of other households should be discouraged."
On arrival and departure from school, there will be provision for sanitising hands. Everyone in school will wash their hands frequently throughout the day and pupils will be reminded of the importance of hand and respiratory hygiene.
The frequency of the formal cleaning in school will be increased, and in addition, staff will be carrying out spot cleaning throughout the day.
If staff have to administer personal care for a pupil, or if a pupil requires first aid, the appropriate PPE will be worn. However, the focus for everyone in school will be practising good hand and respiratory hygiene, frequent cleaning and physical distancing.
Physical distancing guidelines will remain in place for adults. This applies to staff and parents / carers both within the school building and within the school grounds. Markings at entrances will indicate 2 metre social distancing.
