My name is Kayla Jensen, English Language Arts teacher for grades 6-9 at Pivot Charter. I'm a Cancer, a devoted dog-mom, and an avid crafter.

I graduated from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in December 2018 with my Bachelor's in Mass Communications and Journalism. I became interested in teaching in my Freshman year when I started mentoring. Since then I've been on a journey to obtain my degree and become certified to teach English. I hope to instill the same passion for reading and writing that I have in my students.

If I'm not prepping for classes, you will probably find me crafting my next project, reading a classic on the beach, exploring Florida's beautiful parks, playing with my dog, working with the Lovecraft-inspired live-action roleplaying group I'm staff for, or attending a concert (my home away from home). I think bees are the bees' knees.
