Anime comes from the shortened English word "animation," and it is used to describe the animated works produced by Japanese animation studios. There are hundreds of thousands of anime and manga--there are even different versions of manga/anime that come out of Chinese and Korean studios (known as manhua and donghua, and manhwa respectively).

Anime Club will be a place where we can watch anime together, discuss anime/manga storylines and characters, and talk about the different genres and drawing styles of the works we all know and love. It will be a safe space to share opinions and enjoy a pastime that is becoming more and more common in the Western world.
